Great tool, equaly great price
I have a stinky dog, and due to health issues housework got ignored resulting in the house stinking like the dog! I am now in a better position and need to get myself back on track so the carpets needed cleaning mostly to get the smell of dog out and this did the job admirably. I read reviews which stated it was very heavy, its not actually, but it has an almost 9l tank, that is 9kg of water! If you dont want it as heavy, half fill the tank and fill it more often :D On the forward wet stroke, you need to go slow to get enough water into the pile IMO, saves going over it 3 times or more, These machines have come a long way since the last Vax cleaner I had, that one had a fireplace and a steam boiler I think, the automatic detergent mix is cool, just fill the detergent tank, fill the water tank, job done. I have so far done my landing and the main bedroom which has not been used for 2 years, apart from the dog and 2 cats treating it like their own private room, so it was pretty bad to be honest but it smells sweet in there now ( I didn’t use vax detergent though, I bought a 5l of shampoo before the machine. Had one odd experience, it stopped sucking, I opened up the hatch on the front to check for blockage, non found, and closed it again and then it was working again, no idea what that gremlin was but it hasn’t happened again. All in, I am very pleased with the purchase, the price was great, the cleaner did an excellent job, enough said I think ;)
