Best thing for hay-fever sufferers
Had one of these for around 4 years and it's the best thing I've ever bought for relief from my hay-fever including tablets, eye drops, other air purifiers etc... nothing else is guaranteed to work like this does. I am 49 years old and considering buying a second machine for my 14 year old son who is suffering with hay-fever. Obviously it only works inside with doors and windows closed but when you use it all the time indoors it does tend to dampen down the symptoms of hay-fever whilst outdoors. I use it during the day downstairs and take it upstairs on the nightime and leave it on the lowest setting (after night mode) there is a noise coming from it but it isn't intrusive enough to stop you sleeping, also this noise helps me with my tinnitus as it acts as a white noise and dampens down my tinnitus ringing, for this reason I tend to use it at the bedside all year round. The replacement filters are expensive at £50 each but I still can't give any less than five stars because I am so pleased with it as a whole. I probably need a new filter right now but can't afford it right now, but will get one later. A 'testing' tip if you buy one of these vax air purifiers, place it in a room and leave it on full power for about one hour(or longer) make sure all doors and windows are closed. If you can leave it longer then all the better, once it's been on a while enter the room and close the door behind you, you will immediately feel the difference in the air quality and if you suffer from hay-fever like myself you will notice relief straight away and for this reason you will love this machine.

Should of got one sooner
Only had a week but love it, could improve with carbon filter and a uv-c light in the centre of the filter unit. Otherwise makes the air feel so much fresher

Fast and quiet
Just had for two days now it's been on all throughout the night on night mode. My eldest son has asthma he coughs really badly on a morning this morning he had one soft cough, opened his door the machine didn't flicker he closed his door and got ready, hair spray, hair powder, deodorant he opened his door again the Vax ( on landing outside the bedrooms)lights changed it sounded like a jet engine which just proved to us and him its all the stuff he uses that's floating around his room which he has always denied. Thanks Vax for proving us right. With in 5 minutes it turned green and turned down.
